Edward & I are married!

We got married on Monday, December 19th 2016 at approximately 1:00pm CST. I had so much anxiety about the wedding leading up to it - not about marrying Edward but about all of the other details (would the photographer and officiant both make it? Would something go wrong? Would my flowers die before I needed them for my bouquet? Would my dress still fit? etc etc etc). But everything couldn't have gone better. It was one of the happiest, most joy-filled days I've ever had. The wedding was exactly how we wanted it - beautiful, just us, intimate and special. We are planning to have a party next summer to celebrate with friends and family. Some photos taken before the ceremony, you can tell because I completely forgot about my bouquet (white mums and eucalyptus) until the ceremony was about to start haha:

Edward broke into a dance with me during our photoshoot, it was very spontaneous on his part, though fitting with his personality and character:

My mom sent me this bracelet as a wedding gift and told me to open it on the morning of the wedding, so of course I wore it, and have been wearing it ever since. It's very special to me:

Our rings - his is titanium, mine is rose gold:

The actual ceremony, which was so perfect and so much more moving than even I expected it to be, it was more than I ever dreamed of. All of the promises Edward and I made to each other just filled my heart to near bursting, I almost cried a little from happiness but managed to restrain myself so as not to ruin my make-up haha:

Our first kiss as a married couple! Edward actually got really excited during the vows and tried to lean down and kiss me right then but I told him we had to wait until the end :) it was adorable:

Lighting our "Candle of One Life" together. It was my grandmother and grandfather's idea. You each light a candle of your own, then you light one bigger candle together to represent that there is only one life before you:

Some post-wedding portraits since I'd forgotten about the bouquet in the pre-wedding portraits. My grandmother sent me the white silk ribbon so I felt so much love when I used it:

We also tried to get a few shots with the "whole family" haha Sam was very excited by all of the wedding activity though, and he's still only six months old, so getting him to sit still was a challenge:

We spent the rest of Monday after the wedding making a quick trip to the courthouse to turn in our marriage license and get our marriage certificate so we were totally legal(!), eating take out Chinese food because we had both been too nervous before the wedding to have anything but a bit of coffee, watching Moonrise Kingdom together, opening the cards and presents my family had sent and drinking out of the beautiful champagne flutes my mother also sent as a wedding present. It was a beautiful, glorious, amazing, wonderful and tiring day so we went to bed pretty early. We were both giddy about being married, and also a little bit in shock. It still doesn't feel entirely real. But it is!
